Stockton-Con brought awareness of outstanding artists in the San Joaquin Valley area - and gave attendees the chance to experience Popular Culture (Comics, Card Games, Video Games, Cards, Anime, Manga, Science Fiction, Toys, Television and Movies). It is also brought awareness and funds in conjunction with the United Way and St. Mary's Dining Room. Stockton-Con took place on Sunday, August 5, 2012 at the Alex G. Spanos Center on the campus of University of the Pacific.

The Power of One is a luncheon to recognize women making a difference. This year's keynote speaker was Pamela Eibeck, President of the University of the Pacific. Pam was inspirational as she shared her story about how the power of one woman can make a difference in her community. The Power of One committee also awarded it's 7th annual "Community Star" award to Joy Clem. Joy, a member of the community, has demonstrated a passion and commitment to making a difference in the lives of those most in need.

Teddy Bear Count with the Stockton Thunder

The Stockton Thunder collected 4,706 teddy bears and other stuffed animals at the seventh annual Teddy Bear Toss game on January 21st. The teddy bears and other stuffed animals were distributed by United Way to other nonprofit agencies.
