LOEL Senior Center

The LOEL Senior Center, as their website states, is “dedicated to offering free and low cost programs and services that help seniors remain independent, healthy, active, and fulfilled in their daily lives.” These programs and services work to combat feelings of helplessness and loneliness that the elderly are susceptible to facing.

The LOEL Center (which stands for Lodi Elders) owns 14 units of housing for seniors that is both safe and affordable, located right across the street. There is also a lunch program, which serves lunch Mondays through Fridays every week. The program not only provides seniors with a free, nutritious lunch, but also serves as a place seniors can socialize with one another. LOEL also implements many activities and classes that are open to seniors.

technology training. Seniors are further supported by being given income tax assistance, information referrals, legal assistance, and are welcome to health services that include blood pressure checks, line dancing, Tai-Chi and Yoga. No matter what the program or service, the LOEL Senior Center works to ensure that seniors are cared for not only as members of the community, but as if they were family members.
