Tammie Murrell

Community Volunteer, Retired - Stockton Police Department

Tammie is retired from a 30 year career in policing. She worked for both the San Joaquin County Sheriff’s Office and the Stockton Police Department, where she retired as a Deputy Chief of Police. She is currently the Director of the Police Academy at Delta College. She holds an Associate’s Degree from Delta College, a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice from California State University, Sacramento and a Master’s Degree in Leadership from St. Mary’s College, Moraga, CA. She is a graduate of the Leadership Stockton Program, the California Peace Officers Training Supervisory Leadership Institute, Command College, and the FBI National Academy.

Tammie was born and raised in Stockton. She is active in the community and an avid baseball fan. She attends many San Francisco Giants games per season and is on a quest to visit every Major League Baseball park.
