United Ways are helping Californians reach financial stability by connecting individuals and families to free tax filing support to help put money back in their pockets through life-changing tax credits. Through a variety of financial wellness programs, we are here to support Californians on each step of their financial empowerment journey.

LIFELONG LEARNING

California United Ways strive to equip children and adults with the tools they need to thrive academically and beyond. By focusing on early childhood development, literacy initiatives, and supporting successful educational transitions, United Ways across California empower families and individuals to make the best choices for their children’s or their own education and future success — at every stage of their journey.

ENDING HOMELESSNESS

United Ways are confronting California’s housing crisis head-on by supporting strategies to eliminate homelessness, coordinating rent relief programs, investing in affordable housing initiatives, and connecting unhoused community members to housing navigation programs and critical resources to help get them back on their feet. We also work together to advocate for policies that will create new stable housing, increase housing equity, and make housing more affordable and accessible to our most vulnerable communities.
